Direct from the manufacturer

The blade that cuts in every direction.

Bestway Products Company builds the Spyral saw blade in Gardena, California — the only wire saw with an actual cutting tooth. A single tempered steel wire wrapped by a continuous 360-degree spiral tooth that cuts foam, wood, bone, aluminum, brass, and mild steel from any angle, without costly rotating machinery.

See it in action

Three saws. One 360-degree wire.

Real cutting, shot outdoors. The same Spyral blade coils into a pocket, stows in a pack, and cuts through wood, steel, and plexiglass.

One blade. Any material. Any direction.

The Spyral is not a twisted flat blade.

It is a single tempered steel round wire with a continuous tooth that spirals 360 degrees around its length — the only wire saw with an actual cutting tooth. Other wire saws use twisted strands that abrade their way through the material; the Spyral actually cuts. That geometry lets one blade reach where conventional saws cannot: sideways, backward, into sharp curves, notches, and contours, without ever turning the blade in the saw. It cuts foam, cardboard, wood, bone, aluminum, brass, and mild steel — and with a diamond-grit blade, ceramic tile, stone, concrete, and graphite. And because Spyral wire can be made in any length, it has cut a 10-foot whale pattern for the Smithsonian. To the best of our knowledge, there is not an identical product on the market.

Why buyers choose the Spyral blade.

Manufactured on our own shop floor in Gardena, California, and priced direct. That means shorter lead times, custom loop lengths welded to your spec, and no middleman markup.

  • 360-degree spiral cutting tooth cuts sideways, backward, and along sharp curves without repositioning the blade in the saw.
  • One blade profile handles foam, wood, bone, aluminum, brass, and mild steel — and ceramic, stone, and graphite with a diamond blade. Fewer SKUs on your bench.
  • Continuous loop blades resistance welded and heat treated to your exact length in .040", .050", or .074" wire diameter.
  • Priced direct from the Gardena, California shop floor since 1986. No costly specialized CNC machinery required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The standard Spyral wire, hacksaw, and bandsaw blades cut all foam materials, cardboard, wood, bone, aluminum, brass, and mild steel. The diamond-grit blade adds ceramic tile, stone, concrete, graphite, and fiberglass. The Gigli surgical saw cuts bone, and even metal. One 360-degree profile covers the range, so there are fewer SKUs to stock on the bench.
Continuous loop Spyral bandsaw blades are welded and heat treated to your specified length in .040 inch, .050 inch, or .074 inch wire diameter. We build custom loop lengths on order from the Gardena shop floor.
Spyral bandsaw blades are rated up to 5,000 surface feet per minute (SFM). Real running speed depends on your material, saw, and coolant setup. Call the shop for a recommendation for your job.
Both. We ship direct from Gardena, California to industrial buyers, defense customers, surgical distributors, foam fabricators, and the retail workshop. Private label and wholesale arrangements are welcome.
Our Gigli type surgical wire saws ship in non-sterile packaging, direct from the manufacturer. Sterilization is completed by the medical supplier or end user.
Bestway Products Company was founded in Gardena in 1986. The Spyral saw blade line itself traces back to 1948, when it first came out of Tyler Manufacturing. We are the original manufacturer.
