Dual Blade Rope Saw.

A 48 inch dual blade rope saw with a 360-degree Spyral tooth, made for cutting high tree limbs from the ground.

48 inches of dual hardened steel strand, each with the Spyral spiral tooth
Bi-directional: the blade cuts on the stroke in both directions, halving your sawing time

A closer look

Two strands, one continuous tooth.

Both strands carry the same 360-degree Spyral tooth, crimped into a steel ferrule and pull ring at each end.

The 360-degree tooth

A continuous spiral tooth rolled into hardened steel wire. It cuts from any orientation, on the pull in both directions, so the blade never has to be turned or reseated.

Crimped ferrule and ring

Each end is crimped into a steel ferrule and finished with a ring. Tie your rope straight to the ring — there is nothing to assemble and nothing to sharpen.

How it works

Two people, two ropes, no ladder.

You provide the rope, we provide the saw. Nothing to assemble, nothing to sharpen.

1

Tie on your ropes

Run a rope through the loop at each end of the saw and knot it off. Any rope long enough to reach the ground works.

2

Set the blade on the limb

Throw one rope over the limb so the saw seats on top of it, then take up a rope each and stand at least twice the limb height apart.

3

Pull long and easy

Shift your weight back and forth and let your legs do the work. Long, easy strokes cut fastest; if the blade jams, move further apart.

Positioning

Stand apart, not underneath.

The saw does the work when both users pull from a wide angle. Standing too close, or pulling from one side, is what makes the blade bind.

Diagram showing the correct use of the rope saw: two people on opposite sides of the tree, each pulling a rope at a wide angle

Right: two users, wide apart

Stand on opposite sides of the trunk, at least twice the height of the limb apart, and alternate long, easy strokes. The wider the angle, the freer the blade runs.

Diagram showing incorrect use of the rope saw: one person pulling both ropes from the same side of the tree

Wrong: one user, one side

Pulling both ropes from the same side drags the blade against the cut instead of through it. If the saw starts to jam, move further apart rather than pulling harder.
